The Meridian Report exists for one reason: most news tells you what happened. Very little explains why it happened, how the underlying system actually works, and what happens next. We fill that gap.

Every report on this site is built the same way. We start from live research — what materially changed in the last hours — and then investigate far beyond the headline: the physical supply chain behind the story, the money and where it flows, the law that governs it, the technology that enables it, and the constraints that make the obvious alternatives difficult. Then we explain all of it in plain English.

Who writes this

The Meridian Report is founded, published and edited by Muhammad Mehdi, an independent analyst and researcher based in the United Kingdom. Muhammad also operates in international commodity trade and logistics, the physical world of ports, supply chains and cross-border commerce that this publication often writes about — which is why our coverage of trade, energy and sanctions explains the actual mechanics, not just the press releases.

How we are funded

The publication is free to read and supported by advertising. We do not accept payment for coverage, and no advertiser sees an article before it is published. Sponsored content, if it ever appears, will be clearly labelled.
